Colonial and Early African American History

Description: 

July 24-26, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Educators will investigate Maryland slavery from colonial era to the mid-1800s. Participants will receive content lectures by regional scholars, interactive instruction and a field trip to the Eastern Shore to visit sites connected to Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad Museum.
