The Curators of Hip Hop
The Curators Volume 1: A Story of Independence
A true hip hop tale, this film presents the stories of five emcees, spanning Hawaii to New York, from the artist’s perspective, and demonstrates the power of dedication leading to endless possibilities. Inspired by the motivation to preserve hip hop culture and its artists, the Curators of Hip Hop tours through the lives of five "dreamers" looking to make a mark in the hip hop world. The accounts are coast-to-coast—and even across water. Through extensive dialogue with these up-and-coming artists, as well as established artists and everyday professionals, The Curators verifies that hip-hop isn't dead, or even close to it, as some may suggest. Four years in the making, The Curators confirms that Hip-Hop has now become larger than ever. Starring Ahmad Lewis, Prie, Matt Reeves, Logic, and Dee-1.
Doors open at 6:30pm, film at 7pm. Special museum admission of $5.
A second showing has been scheduled for Saturday October 4, 4pm. Free admission as part of Free Fall Baltimore.
