Join the Reginald F. Lewis Museum and community partners (listed below) in a two day forum commemorating the 10th anniversary of the death of Freddie Gray and the Baltimore Uprising that followed suit. Activities include panel discussions, a town hall and a fireside chat with community leaders and stakeholders impacted by this historic event watched across the nation.

Day1: April 10, 2025 | Reginald F. Lewis Museum
Panel: “Healing in the House” | 3 pm – 5 pm
Explores the effects of trauma-induced life episodes and how to heal with practical emotional wellness strategies with Dr. A’Tasha Christian and guest panelists. This conversation will provide information on community resources for families, and provide space for family members to “call” the names of their deceased children.
Town Hall: “April 19, 2015: The Day That Shook Baltimore” | 6 pm- 8pm
Reflect back on April 19, 2015 with community, political, legal and media stakeholders that witnessed the Uprising that shook the city.
Moderated by Dr. Benjamin Chavis, President, National Newspaper Publishers Association/Black Press of America. Guest panelists include:
