Join us to celebrate the latest release in the American Women Quarters™ Program! AWQ is the first circulating coin program dedicated to honoring women whose achievements, triumphs, and legacies reflect the strength, perseverance, and resiliency of our nation.
The Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum and the United States Mint, in partnership with the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture, invite you to Historic Change: Celebrating the Activism and Impact of Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray.
Taking place in conjunction with the opening of the Black Woman Genius exhibition at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, this free community day will explore the civil rights activism and impact of Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray. Attendees will learn more about Rev. Dr. Murray’s life and her leadership in the civil rights movement, as well as her dedication to community service in Baltimore.
