The Power of Motherhood

August 26, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The Reginald F. Lewis Museum in partnership with Kaiser Permanente invites you to the first program in the virtual panel discussion series, Still We Rise.

The Power of Motherhood explores the resiliency of mothers. Numerous African American women who’ve lost a child to gun violence or police brutality have gone from grieving to activism to make a change. During this discussion, we will highlight how mothers are showing their resiliency by relentlessly speaking out about police brutality, racism, gun violence and criminal-justice reform. Panelists will also engage in a discussion on the health disparities women of color experience as they navigate the health care system. Program is free; registration required.
